Dear Irina,
Several days ago my friend has brought me your CD from
Russia and shown me this site and since I've been feeling
like someone which has found a diamond in a... (I would
not write what I think about modern russian popular
music but you know what I mean). I will not repeat what
it was already said about your songs. I would just add
that except superb "quality" I was absolutely astonished
by mixture of life loving optimism and sincerity which
two are seemed being not that compatible. Though after
reading your autobiography I guess I have understood
why...
You reminded me Janna Aguzarova and Vera Matveeva at
the same time which I always thought as being impossible
to mix.
Though English is not my native language but in a place
where I live now (Paris, France) I do not have much
choice for I can not use cyrillic keyboard. And surely
you will understand english as you write songs in it.
You were absolutely unexpected and unknown though quietly
existing somewhere not far away from me: I spent my
childhood riding in tramway N 39 from Pokrovka to Kirova
metro station and remember very well the marble entourage
of Lermotovkaja you mentioned somewhere. Moreover, I
saw 'Sinije nochi CHK' back to 1989, I guess. And I
am an Ivashenko&Vasiliev fan for quite a long time.
So, it was a very pleasant surprise - not really a web
site, but your songs first. Why I never knew about you
before? But, better late than never.
I think that you should have a real success here, in
France, as they love a music which is not that far from
yours. If you were able to solve all logistic problems
why should not you sing in Paris? At least me and my
friends will be really happy about that as well as many
Russians living here. (Last time the theatre
of Petr Fomenko was in Buff de Nord it was sold
out without any advertising).
Hope to see you one day at a concert. And continue what
are doing but do not give us all of your optimism, keep
something for yourself.
